Donovan’s Dish, a professional catering company in Apex, North Carolina, specializes in wedding, corporate, and special event catering. When the pandemic hit, their sales plummeted as in-person events were canceled for the foreseeable future. Faced with this challenge, they pivoted to focus on their prepared meal delivery service, Dish to Door. However, they needed a strategy to scale their advertising efforts to stay afloat and continue growing. That’s when they turned to us. Solution

Poast quickly understood Dish to Door’s needs and developed a comprehensive eCommerce marketing strategy to drive growth. We led the migration from WooCommerce to Shopify, streamlining their online store, and switched from Mailchimp to Klaviyo for seamless integration with Shopify. We also built a successful loyalty program using Rise.ai to keep customers engaged.

To further boost sales, we enhanced their advertising efforts on Google and leveraged user-generated content for compelling creative on Meta. Additionally, we worked closely with MRC and Donovan’s Dish to clearly separate their catering and meal delivery services, creating brand clarity, a better user experience, and a stronger focus on eCommerce sales for Dish to Door.

Results

After the pandemic, Dish to Door reengaged with us to drive further growth, consistently achieving a 7-8x ROAS from Meta and Google Ads. Within just four months, we boosted their eCommerce conversion rate from 3% to over 8%, generating over $500,000 in meal delivery sales. Our targeted Facebook and Instagram advertising efforts alone contributed $130,000 in revenue and brought in more than 300 new customers.
